Ready to Lead.
Tom Insinna was born and raised in Crystal Beach and has spent his life serving the community he calls home.
After graduating from Ridgeway Crystal Beach High School, where he served as Student Council President, Tom attended Brock University before beginning a 30-year career with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. During his career, he served in Newfoundland and Ontario, worked in criminal intelligence and led regional recruiting efforts. He received the RCMP Long Service Medal, the Optimist Club Police Officer of the Year Award and the Order of St. John Priory Award.
Tom's commitment to community service did not end with his retirement from the RCMP. He coached the Ridgeway Crystal Beach High School Senior Boys hockey team for two years and served for 11 years as a Board Member of the Town of Fort Erie Community Gaming and Development Corporation.
Since being elected Regional Councillor, Tom has served as Vice Chair of Public Works, sat on the Niagara Regional Housing Board, served as a Commissioner on the Niagara Parks Commission and chaired the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Foundation.
Tom and his wife Michele, who was born and raised in Crystal Beach, are proud grandparents of five grandchildren.
